Usfin Atelier for Alix Higgins Resort 2027 "An Opening Voluntary" - Australian Fashion Week 2027

This year, USFIN was proud to participate in Australian Fashion Week 2026, leading hair for the Alix Higgins Resort 27 (R27) show.

Our team worked closely with the designer and production team throughout the week to develop and execute the hair direction for the runway. The hair was directed by our Creative Director, Daniel Jianing, with a collaborative process from planning through to show day, including a live demonstration as part of the program.

The hair was inspired by the Gibson Girl, created by illustrator Charles Dana Gibson (1867–1944), known for her structured, high, sculpted hair. This reference was used as a starting point and reinterpreted in a modern way.

Products from Kevin Murphy were used to build volume, texture, and hold, including Anti.Gravity.Spray and Killer.Wave for foundation, and DOO.OVER, BED.ROOM, and POWDER.PUFF to soften and finish the looks.

Styling was supported by the new Shark Beauty GLAM tool, used to set movement and shape in the hair before it was dressed out into the final finish.
